Metacritic: Final Fantasy XIII 360 reviewing higher than PS3 version

Yesterday, I was checking online to see the reviews on Final Fantasy XIII for Xbox 360 & PS3. I noticed this: Metacritic average gives Microsoft version 83; PS3 gets 82. But why? I have the game for the Xbox 360 and you can tell the PS3 version being technically superior. You can check out the Metacritic reviews here: Playstation 3 / Xbox 360.

And it has been done! Newbie to the game, Hank Chien, has broken the world record previously held by Billy Mitchell (and traded off occasionally with Steve Wiebe).

Final Fantasy XIII Tops 5 Million

Square Enix announced that the sales for Final Fantasy XIII have already topped 5 million after the European and North American launches. In Japan, the numbers have reached into the 2 millions since the December 17 launch and yesterday saw NA and EU passing the 3 million mark. How long has it been since we've seen a RPG have a launch like this (no, hybrids don't count!)? So the final question is: who will win? Team LadyLuck or Team Godfree?! I'm still voting for the PS3 =]

The cat's out of the bag because we finally have a date for the highly anticipated first multiplayer Map Pack for Modern Warfare 2. Courtesy of Infinity Ward's own Robert Bowling (aka FourZeroTwo) who posted on Twitter that those who are currently suffering from "Mapathy" would have their cure in three short weeks. For those of you not in the know, Mapathy is "a state of indifference to the same old maps one has been playing for the last several months."
