    I’d rather my kids learn lessons from those games then to hear them swearing while killing virtual people, at least this way… you know they learn what’s going on and if your so concerned. Watch the Parents… and a video game is not a baby sitter, so the faster they learn from this the better off everyone will be. I will address one last thing… putting fear into kids about what past and current generations are doing give me a break, it’s not different from someone saying if you don’t believe in god your going to hell… double standard and yes it’s a fear tactic.

    How many people idiots commented before listening to the video. The words “corrupting the youth” don’t appear even once in the video. The video is merely commenting on how many indie games and the like are little more than blatant green propaganda.

    Though using flower as an example was ignorant since its more zen than anything.

    First of all they are heavily judging books by their cover here and second of all if there really was something in a video game that they don’t want their kids to see or learn about than that’s their problem not the developers.  They’re the parents after all.

      You’re just one part of a vast audience. Games are meant for whomever wants to play them. I don’t like most FPS games, zombies are overplayed, space marines and orcs are boring to me, yet I fall under a mature audience though, being in my 30′s. Does that mean I am not allowed to enjoy games like the Zelda series, Okami, indie games like Limbo, Journey, or the classics like Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, etc? Are those no longer real games? Or by “mature” did you mean “adult male”?

    I like how they kept mentioning simulation games, but the footage they showed was of Flower even though they didn’t mention it at all.

    First, have they (or anyone else) played fate of the world? It’s not a game I would have my theoretical child play because it’s too complex and not for kids, and it’s also not very fun. The argument that nuclear is safer than solar or wind power is a joke, and Sim City Societies isn’t a bad game and I would let a child play it. What is wrong with teaching children where their food comes from? It’s not saying don’t eat McDonalds, it’s saying that there is more to it. I suppose getting educated is so liberal and anti-American.Then they go into left field by mentioning the tag sale game, which again wouldn’t appeal to a child, but is interesting to some adults.

    These people are idiots.  Not only are they more concerned about kids caring about the environment than graphic violence, (which they even mention and then disregard) but they have this notion that morality is agreeing to their specifc political worldview.  Not to mention that the game “Flower” doesn’t have more than about 5 lines of dialogue.

    So Fox News is basically saying that conservative parents want to brainwash their children into believing what they do, rather than have them come to their own logical conclusions that may (or may not) conflict with their parents’ beliefs, by forbidding them to play these games.
