Giveaway: Win a 32GB WiFi iPad 2 with Vonage and Gamertag Radio *Update* Winner

By on August 27, 2011

Gamertag Radio is teaming up with Vonage to give away a brand new iPad 2 to a lucky reader! The winner will be randomly selected between Aug. 27 – 31st. Here’s what the winner gets:

An Apple gift card worth $700 for a 32GB WiFi Apple iPad 2 and 1 iTunes gift card worth $15. (The prize will be distributed to the winner in the form of an Apple gift card.) If there is no access to Apple in the winner’s country, a cash-equivalent prize will be distributed via PayPal.

Here’s how to enter:

1: Post a comment below and let us know who you would call using Vonage’s Time to Call app, and why.

2: Like us on Facebook, and then leave us your comment (on Facebook) on who you would call using Vonage’s Time to Call app, and why.

3: Tweet this: “Win a 32GB WiFi iPad 2 from @Vonage and @Gamertagradio. Full details at http://www.gamertagradio.com/new/?p=9370″

Again, one winner will receive: One (1) iTunes gift card for $15 and one (1) Apple gift card for $700 for the Apple iPad 2, Wi-Fi 32 GB.

The contest will run from Aug. 27 – Sept. 3. You also have another 74 chances to win an iPad 2 from Vonage! That is because Vonage has supplied 75 different sites with an iPad 2 to giveaway and use with the Time to Call App.

The new Time to Call app from Vonage lets users make low-cost international calls of up to 15 minutes to landlines and mobile phones in over 190 countries. I’ve been using this to call my family in Dominican Republic. The rates are very cheap compared to those phone cards and you can pay for your calls through your iTunes account. Don’t believe me? You can downlload the app right now for a FREE 15 minute international call. Try it out!

Good luck to all, and thanks to Vonage for letting us be part of this great giveaway. Make sure to download the Vonage app on iTunes or visit their official site at vonagemobile.com.

Update: The winner is theprophet209. Congrats! You just won a free iPad 2. Thanks to Vonage and Gamerttag Radio.

Using the vonage app I would call my grandparents in virginia because it would be a way for us to communicate easier and it would get them a little more technology orientated. It would also be great to talk to them more if they got an ipad also and the app.

  • http://www.facebook.com/DeweyRiouIII Dewey Riou III

I would call my friend who is working on his own video-game and ask him how it has been progressing so far. We’re on different networks, so calling using the app would be cool since he has an iPhone.

My girlfriend’s family is spread across Asia, England, and Australia. Keeping in touch can be difficult and costly because some of them are older or live in small villages where the Internet isn’t reliable or fast. The phone is the way to go and this app looks like a better way to make those calls.

Thanks for the contest. I tweeted #3.

  • Clbobe

I would probably call my grandmother in Puerto Rico. When we talk on the phone it’s usually for more than an hour so it gets pretty expensive. I’d use the app to call because it would save me money.

    Careful what you ask for!

I would call the Secretary General of the United Nations. Most
interesting nobody has wanted to know what I would say, if I told you
everything the Secret service would be knocking at your door. But it
would definately include the following: In the 20 years since I filed my
complaint in 1988 against the US Government, at the UN in Geneva, all
the problems that the UN itself in committee meetings said this use of
satellite technology would perpetuate have come to fruition. How can an
organization that predicted the massive invasive use of personal
information watch this happen and remain silent. As I listened to a
satellite recording a girl being buried alive in central Florida, yes
I’ve been sensitive to certain level of radio waves since I was a child,
I heard your death. The death of an organization that has inspired
unthinkable horror and violence, while the next first whore climbs into
bed in the White House keeping silent, more children will die in horror
while these eavesdropping satellites just watch!

That my warm up, needs some editing but it gets hotter after that.

If I win The Apple Ipad 2 I would call my mother.  There is nothing like motherly LOVE and no mater what happens they LOVE you for life. They stick up for you, and accept you as you are.  Even if they are mad at you, they will insalt you but at the end of the day they will make sure you don’t end up going down the wrong path.  I love my mother and I dont get to talk to her as much as I would to, without have to spend tons of money on phone cards.  If this IPad can help me connect to the person that brought me to this world, it will be one of the best things that has ever happend to me.  I know there are many people in my same situation and I would like for all of us to win, so if i dont win it, congratulations to the person that does.  I hope you love your mother as much as I LOVE mine.
