So I downloaded Episode 31 of the Gamertag Radio show and decided to set up the connection between my PC and my 360. Surprisingly easy.
Quick software download for the PC, and voila! The 360 automatically detects it.
So there I was listening Episode 31 while racing in PGR3. It played as if it was a custom soundtrack, never drowning out the games sound effects.
Brilliant!
And on HDTV... PGR3 is fantastic! Condemned... man... it's freakishly realistic.
It IS a great machine. It puts the gamer in the center of the whole entertainment experience, whether that's games or multimedia.
NICEEE....i would love to do this with a podcast too but we are mac owners in this household....i have although connected my ipod to the 360 and its great.....

I posted this in another forum but I downloaded it in MP3 format and transfered it with my usb flash drive. Gonna listen to it when I'm playing Hexic cuz the music in that game sucks.

No problem. Put the file on a portable device and plug it into the 360. Easy as pie.
Man... this thing was so well thought out.

They probably wouldn't like it, but Mac OS X is a huge step up from Windows anything... sorry. Yes I am a Mac user too but I also have a Windows laptop.

If you're into creatin' music, Macs are where it's at!
Besides PCs make up most of the computer market, which means there are more PC users, which potentially means there are more bugs/errors/other PC-related nonsense occurrin'.
Personally, I don't like Macs. I did when I was playing Oregon Trail and all the different variations of the "Munchers" games (i.e., Super, Number, Word, etc.) back in grade school. But eh...a PC suits me just fine. ;)

Mac doesnt suck and this what we use to create our shows and I used to be a huge windows fans. Fed up with spyware adn all that other crap. Mac is the best for audio & video editing... also cant forget graphics too.
During E3 the Xbox Team had MAC G5 on the Xbox 360. Not windows.. so i guess Mac doesnt suck ;)

Graphics/Image work...eh...I think it's a toss up...kinda depends on what you're doing. And, yes, spyware/Ad-ware is friggin' crazy on PCs. But Macs don't have as many users as PCs...so, there's very little room for that stuff to occur on Macs than on PCs.
As far as the Mac G5 on the Xbox 360, the 360 should be knifed in the face-plate! lol (Gotta love roundtable discussions...that was so funny whoever said that)...because peeps are havin' hardware issues left-'n-right. Craziness...
BTW, what does anyone/everyone think about Linux/Unix?

Mac OS X = a highly modified version of Debian Unix...
Macs are better hands down than their PC counterparts. There aren't as many consumer programs to compare, but using something common like Adobe Photoshop the Mac blows away the PC. Part of that has to do with the hardware architecture though. There aren't really bottlenecks associated with Macs and Macs can generally support more RAM.

Well lets go back some years...once upon a time you would only find a Mac or an Atari computer in a music studio. Since then the pc has made impressive strides in music software/sound cards. You no longer need a Mac to produce music.
Mac was also way ahead back then with art and photo. This is way back when Commodore had the Amiga running video toaster. Both mac and pc now currently run the same photoshop software.
I do a tremendous amount of music production and photoshop with a pc. Yes it is not a stock pc(1gig ram+) by any means but the days of needing a Mac are over.
I will agree that you are more liable for spyware, etc running windows..but if you have some sense and a firewall you shouldn't have issues. I dont.
Remember the Apple IIe now that was a machine..lol

Once you go into the industry though, once it comes to graphic production and video editing you are going to have to use a Mac most likely. While it's true that PC has Photoshop, Avid, as well as some other programs, using them on the Mac is some much better and the rendering is done much faster. You also don't have the bandwidth bottlenecks and more memory to work with on a Mac. For graphics and music it is no comparison honestly and yes again I work on both platforms.

Not sure I agree 100% but will take your word for it. I have been using adobe premier for the small amount of video editing I have done and have had no negative issues. Although I dont have an experience to compare it to.
With music I am running q-base and it is as solid as it gets. I have been working with music since samplers were 8-bit analog(emu sp1200/emax emulator). A ton of hip hop was made on this ancient hardware. And at that time music studios were using macs or ataris. This was back in the day late 80's and for some till the mid 90's. Things have changed as most work can be done from the house today.
Again my pc is not stock...amd3.4/256gpu/1G-ram/dig sound card.
You say no comparison but I think that statement was stronger in the past then it is today.
and being that my 360 connects with my pc is another plus for me.

So I downloaded the new Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter video.
I DLed the one at 720p resolution onto out Media Center laptop.
So I fired up my 360 and proceeded to stream it over our wireless network. I thought there would be a little lag or stutter since I'm doin' it wireless....
To my surprise.... flawless.... statyed hi-res at 720p ........ran like buttah.
Oh, and the trailer shows alot more in-game footage. Can't wait for this one.
