EA SPORTS participation in Community Vibes

Hey!

Thought I'd drop in and introduce myself and get a little discussion going around EA SPORTS and our participation in Community Vibes this year. Along with Justin Dewiel, I'm one of the EA SPORTS community managers out of the Tiburon studio in the Orlando area. EA SPORTS always has stuff going on the week of the Super Bowl and since it's in Miami that means we'll be in the area at the time Community Vibes is happening.

With that in mind, I wanted to drop in and let everyone know myself and Justin will be attending and have a little discussion around what we might be able to do while we're out there. Justin and I had a chat with Godfree and Peterocc about sending through some swag (what is an event without swag?) and coming through to do some sort of a live chat.

Leading up to the event I thought it might be cool to talk about our participation here in this thread. If you've got questions, comments, or ideas, drop them here. We'll make sure to stop by often and update you guys on what we have planned.

First and foremost I want to personally responding to my email about helping Godfree out with this event, I know I know I bugged the hell out of you guys with tons of emails but u guys were kind and answered thanks. Guess sum times it pays to have the inside scoop! Jk. But we appreciate ur help. U don't no how pumped I am to meet the ppl I work under this is a dream come true! One idea I have is u guys should have a session on wut exactly u do as a community manager and wut key element u guys bring to ea. Also how u got started with ea. Once again thanks soo much for responding to me to help get this ball rolling. You really don't know how hard I work behind the scene for gtr and u already no how I work for u all but gtr is very special to me! Thank u!

I know that GameBreakers will be running a Madden10 tournament during Vibes. It would be fun to maybe see you guys taking part or do challenges against some of the competitors. I don't know what other sports games might be there since I know there will be several set-ups.

And I know we always have a Rock Band set up and potentially DJ Hero, a variety of ways for you to interact with attendees. While we like swag (who doesn't? It's free!) you can always make it a bit more difficult to get =] Though probably anything is easier than the push-up race from last Vibes.

We're happy to do something like that. We plan to be out there the whole time so there's plenty of time to do stuff like this.

We'll definitely participate in anything that's going on with Madden. I know Dewiel thinks he's better than he is, so that should be amusing.

I've really been wanting to go to Community Vibes for a couple of years now, but the last 2 years I've been traveling for work the week it was happening. Finally the stars aligned so we can be a part of this. :)

How about EA Sports live streaming from the event and chat. We can also do giveaways for those that can't attend the event.

We can give them Madden Arcade codes and so on.
