Great episode. It was cool to hear a different perspective on what each of you thought was the game of the year and why. I started listening to gamertag radio in a search for real information about the consoles that debuted this year and ever since the crew has been on point. There is a difference between educated opinion and negativity and gamertag nails it….. I judge a game of the year by the game that CALLS me even when I am not gaming and for me there were two this year.. Tomb Raider and Splinter Cell The Blacklist. I am really hoping that ubisoft makes another blacklist for the ps4 and xbox one and I am happy to see Tomb Raider coming as well. Happy Holidays

I love this new GOTY format. There’s a lot of great games that came out this year. Might as well show them some love too. :) Thanks @disqus_dMjVjiAPA4:disqus for the support!

Great episode guys. A bit short and I’m not sure how I feel about there being no official GTR GOTY, as it’s just a bunch of games from all the crew members. In my opinion the game of the year was GTA V. With the Last of Us being a close second.I wasn’t a fan of the GTA series before this game. In fact, I hated the series. The single player was okay in 5, in my opinion, but I have already spent 90 hours in the multiplayer with friends and will probably spend 300-400 hours over the next 3 years of so. It really is massive. You guys gave up on the online too early. Just give it another shot. It’s a lot of fun now that all the issues have been fixed. Please???? :(
(Hint hint GTR game night cough cough)

but thats the thing GOTY is whatever you want it to be, shouldn’t matter what GTR or any other site declares it be.

        agreed.

      • Disney Ganbaatar

That is a very good point and I agree. What I meant was that there should be a GTR GOTY, along with the differening opinions of the crew. The debates GTR has are some of the best I’ve heard and ai missed it this year. Portal 2/Skyrim was bloody in 2011 and I miss that.
